a Letter from Lynn to our amazing customers: After fourteen weeks of our lives being turned upside down here at Seibel’s, all I can say is we are exhausted! It’s been a few weeks since I last wrote to you. With each phase, we had hope that business would increase, that more staff would appear, that the world would start to right itself, and that a sense of normalcy would set in. We all knew we would not go totally back to the way things were, but the stress of waiting for a glimmer of the future is weighing heavy on all of us. Our mission has always been more then just serving food, it has been relationships, friendships, family, extended family, hospitality and finally- serving the best foods we could produce. We are never perfect but we wear our hearts on our sleeve, We Care! It’s YOU that have kept us going the past few months. I hope we made a difference in your own upside-down world. With all this said, we need a break. We need to step back and evaluate our future.
I have planned for over a year to take three weeks off and travel out West. Driving from Maryland to Montana. A bucket list to play golf in all Fifty States. I have made a choice to continue with my plans, but at the expense of Closing for the month of July. With the uncertainty of what each Opening Phase will bring there would be no way I could in good conscious leave for my trip. It would not be fair to my staff, my family or you, our beloved customers. We will be closed starting, Sunday, June 20 and will reopen in August.
All of us are making plans to recharge our batteries; Randi Lynn is headed back to Texas, Angie is headed to Ohio to help care for her Mother, Scott and Darel are going fishing, Lauren is back to work in Baltimore, Karen is headed to Florida with friends, Melissa is going to play! While Chad, Anita and Jones’ plans are up in the air. We will all be back in August, except for Randi Lynn, with smiles and stories of our adventures!
Watch your email late July for our reopening plans.
